Master Class “Change for Sustainability” will take place again in Wuppertal, on 4-7 July 2012. It is designed for professionals who, in their field of responsibility, need to take sustainability a step forward, either as part of their line function or in a specific project. This Master Class is also relevant for consultants who want to deepen their understanding and practice in the expanding area of sustainability consultancy.

PSI-connect and Centre for Systems Solutions invites you to participate in "The future of science-policy connections" event hosted by UNESCO in Venice. The training workshop (19/04/12) and the final conference (20/04/12) will provide you with insights into improving the quality and value of interactions between scientists, river basin managers and policy makers.

Centre for Systems Solutions together with ISIS Academy are developing a new game that will help businesses assess barriers and bridges with respect to Sustainability.

Centre for Systems Solutions and the PSI-connect team are disseminating their first training workshop on knowledge brokering instruments to facilitate the interactions between science and policy. This is an opportunity to learn about scenario planning and group model building as instruments to support bridging the policy-science gap in the context of water management and climate change.

CRS together with Pracownia Gier Szkoleniowych chaired a session during 42nd The International Simulation and Gaming Association Conference, organized this year in Poland, 11-15 July in Jachranka/Warsaw. The main theme of the conference was: Bonds and bridges – how games and simulations encourage cooperation between sectors: business, education and public administration.

The application process for the 14th Summer Academy is open until the 3rd April 2011. This year the event, organized by the Sendzimir Foundation, will take place between 3rd and 23rd July 2011 in the Conference Centre of Lodz University, Lodz, Poland.

This “un”-conference will be a highly interactive, experiential and experimental two days. Best practice, key levers for change and facilitated action will be explored and conducted through the unique architecture and design of the event.

Sustainable development requires more than technical solutions or a “greener” outlook. Widening responsibility to include ecological, social and individual concerns makes planning and deciding more complex. The ISIS approach helps you navigate through the complexity, step by step.

PSI-connect Training Workshop

Funded under EC FP7, the PSI-connect project works to develop, test and disseminate effective knowledge brokering practices. Knowledge brokering strategies and instruments offer opportunities to facilitate interaction between policy-makers and researchers in an attempt to relate science, experience and insight to policy. Simulation games, group model building, and scenario planning are just some examples for creating two-way conversations between policy-makers and the research community. This training workshop will take place from 29 June to 1 July in Potsdam (Germany) and aims to introduce researchers, policy-makers and professionals working with and between these two communities to new approaches to and instruments for strengthening the relationships between science and policy.
